Spanish coach Álvaro Arbeloa, the manager of Real Madrid, is preparing to embark on one of the most significant milestones in his coaching career, as he leads the royal team in a decisive match against Manchester City in the second leg of the Champions League round of 16.

Football fans are turning their attention to the Etihad Stadium tomorrow evening, Tuesday, where Real Madrid meets Manchester City in a strong encounter kicking off at 10 PM Cairo time, and 11 PM Mecca time, in a match expected to witness a fierce battle between the two teams for the qualification ticket.

During the pre-match press conference, Arbeloa spoke about his team's preparations for the anticipated encounter, touching on several technical and physical aspects, in addition to the status of some players returning from injury.

Arbeloa said: "Arda Guler's goal against Elche was truly amazing, and we need to defend against Haaland with as many players as possible. Guler did a good job and we will see the possibility of his participation again tomorrow."

The Spanish coach added, talking about the role of star Federico Valverde in the team: "Valverde can play in any position and performs wonderfully. He is currently at his best and scoring goals, and when Bellingham and Kylian Mbappé return, we must continue to see this version of him."

Arbeloa continued his talk about Manchester City's decision not to conduct morning training, and also commented on facing coach Pep Guardiola, saying: "I think Pep explained it well, and it's not new to them. This is the 987th match he manages, and I wouldn't be bold enough to give him advice, his team plays with their eyes closed."

Regarding his future with Real Madrid, Arbeloa clarified: "My future is the last thing that worries me now and I do not think about it. What concerns me is that the team continues to excite Madridistas, and I will be happy here until my last day."

He also spoke about the policy of relying on young players within the team, saying: "I did not feel there were players who could not participate here. Players like Valverde, Vinicius Junior, and Tchouaméni deserved their minutes, and the academy youngsters are providing an excellent level and adding a lot."

Regarding the readiness of some players, he said: "Bellingham wanted to be with his teammates even though he will not participate tomorrow, and seeing him close to returning makes me happy. As for Mbappé, he is available to participate and you will see that tomorrow, and it is difficult to think that the team could be competitive without the best player in the world."

The Real Madrid coach concluded his statements by talking about the team's mentality before the anticipated confrontation, saying: "We are fully aware of the difficulty of tomorrow's match and the strength of the opponent. If we want to win, there is no alternative to delivering a very high-level performance characterized by sacrifice and effort to harm them. We want to see the version that appeared in the first leg, we have no goal other than winning with the same humility and commitment, but even more so because the task will not be easy, humility and ambition are what must be shown tomorrow."
