England have suffered a major blow ahead of their upcoming matches in the UEFA Nations League, with five players confirmed to be absent from the squad during the current international break.

The English Football Association has announced the exclusion of Tino Livramento, Kobe Mainoo, Cole Palmer, Marcus Rashford, and Declan Rice from the England squad for upcoming matches due to their unavailability.

In contrast, the coaching staff has decided to call up James Garner and Morgan Gibbs-White to compensate for absences, with the players set to join the rest of the squad on Tuesday.

England are set to play four matches during the current international break in the UEFA Nations League, facing Spain on September 26, then meeting the Czech Republic on September 29, before returning to face Croatia on October 3, and concluding their matches against the Czech Republic again on October 6.

These absences come at an important time for the England national team, which is preparing to face a series of tough matches in a short period, as the coaching staff seeks to maintain the team's readiness and achieve the best results in the UEFA Nations League.
