Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes appeared in a press statement following the 3-1 victory over Aston Villa in the 30th round of the Premier League at Old Trafford.

The Manchester United captain said: "Winning against a direct rival was extremely important. We were level on points, so gaining this advantage over them is always good. We needed the win after the last match. Today we got the job done, but I still believe we can perform much better."

He added, "In the Premier League, every match is tough. Aston Villa is a very organized team and knows what they need to do. Their plan against us is always excellent. They have players capable of making a significant difference. It was about executing our plan, and we did it perfectly. We knew they had a high defensive line, and we had to ensure the accuracy of our movements. It seems easy, but it's actually harder. If the timing isn't perfect, it becomes extremely difficult. We did it today and won the match."

He concluded regarding reaching 100 assists: "I am happier because I achieved it by passing the ball to my teammates. This is much better, as making others happy is wonderful. I am very pleased to have helped them score and feel joy. It is a great achievement for me, but the main accomplishment will be securing top positions by the end of the season."
