Chelsea Knocks on Bayern Munich's Door to Sign Min-Jae Amid Interest from Milan Giants
Sunday 15-03-2026
Press reports have revealed that Chelsea has begun exploring the possibility of signing South Korean defender Kim Min-jae from Bayern Munich during the upcoming transfer window, as the London club seeks to strengthen its defense with an experienced player.

According to "Bayern Insider," Chelsea's management has already reached out to inquire about the player's status, but they face competition from Italian clubs, most notably Inter Milan and AC Milan, who are monitoring the 29-year-old defender's situation with the Bavarian team.

This interest comes at a time when Kim Min-jae's ranking has declined within Bayern's defensive options, as he is behind the duo of Dayot Upamecano and Jonathan Tah, despite his participation in several matches this season in the Bundesliga and the UEFA Champions League.

Although Bayern Munich is not currently looking to sell the player whose contract runs until 2028, the club may open negotiations if an offer between 30 and 40 million euros is made. Meanwhile, the Korean defender has not yet shown a clear desire to leave the team.
