The Spanish newspaper "Marca" revealed that Real Madrid coach Álvaro Arbeloa plans to make several changes to the starting lineup for the match against Elche in the Spanish League, next Saturday, at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.

According to the report, the coaching staff is expected to rest several key players after the significant effort they put in during the match against Manchester City, which ended with Real Madrid winning 3-0 in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League Round of 16.

The newspaper added that the list of players nominated for rest includes Antonio Rudiger, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Aurelien Tchouameni, Federico Valverde, as well as goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.

On the other hand, Arbeloa is expected to rely on some other names in the starting lineup, with Dani Carvajal starting the match from the beginning, alongside young midfielder Manuel Angel, while Ukrainian goalkeeper Andriy Lunin will be guarding the goal.

The coaching staff of Real Madrid is striving to balance competing for the league title while maintaining the players' readiness ahead of the anticipated second-leg match against Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League.
