The coach of the Ecuador national football team, Sebastián Beccacece, emphasized the importance of the upcoming friendly match against the Moroccan national football team, as part of both teams' preparations for the 2026 World Cup.

The Argentine coach clarified that this encounter will not be just an ordinary friendly match, pointing out that it represents an important test for the team, alongside the other anticipated friendly match against the Netherlands national football team.

Pikasis said during a press conference that these matches will greatly benefit the national team in trying to impose its playing style, emphasizing that the focus will be on performance on the field regardless of the result.

He added that the two matches will require the players to give their utmost, noting that the atmosphere surrounding them will be similar to that of World Cup matches.

He also explained that the coaching staff aims to utilize these meetings to assess the players' performance and draw the necessary lessons before the final stage of preparations.

The Ecuadorian national team is set to face its Moroccan counterpart on March 27 in Spain, in a friendly match scheduled to kick off at 21:15 GMT, as part of both teams' preparations for the 2026 World Cup.
