Simeone said in statements after the match: "We knew we were coming to a difficult stadium, a team that plays very well. We couldn't, and they didn't allow us to advance in attack to find more opportunities like those created by Llorente and Lookman."

He continued: "The third goal seemed like an offside. If Barcelona scores from set pieces, it becomes much more difficult."

He added: "They took away the time we needed to play. On our home field, we had that time, and we played more intensely then, which is why we scored four goals.
