Barcelona Holds Firm on Ferran Torres Amid PSG Interest

Barcelona has no intention of parting ways with Spanish forward Ferran Torres during the summer transfer window, despite interest from Paris Saint-Germain under the management of Luis Enrique, as confirmed by Mundo Deportivo.

The newspaper reported that the Catalan club's management has not received any official communication, either from the player, his representatives, or Paris Saint-Germain, regarding the possibility of his departure this summer. The management believes that any desire to leave must first come from the player himself.

Ferran Torres, 26, continues his summer vacation and is set to return to Barcelona's sports city on August 10, following three weeks of rest after celebrating with the Spanish national team their World Cup victory, where he scored the winning goal in the final against Argentina.

Barcelona considers Ferran Torres an important part of coach Xavi's project, and they plan to extend his contract, which expires in the summer of 2027, during September after the transfer window closes, due to financial fair play regulations. Torres has scored 65 goals in 207 matches for Barcelona, with his best season last year, netting 21 goals in 49 appearances.
