Manchester City Plans a Record Deal from Newcastle
TEAMtalk reported that Manchester City is seeking to sign right-back Tino Livramento from Newcastle United next summer, aiming to resolve the right-back position crisis.
City has been pushing since last summer while Newcastle's management tries to convince the player to renew his contract, which runs until 2028. Sources confirmed that Livramento has not requested to leave but is interested in moving to the Etihad Stadium.
The club is also prepared to pay a record amount to break the world record for a right-back, with Newcastle expected to demand around £70 million, as the current global record is £60 million for Achraf Hakimi.
Manchester City already holds the record for the most expensive central defender with Gvardiol and now wants to strengthen the right-back position.
During the current season, Matheus Nunes has taken on the majority of matches as a right-back, while Rico Lewis can also occupy this position.
