Chivu: The Title is Not Decided Yet, and I'm Happy with Dimarco's Performance
Christian Chivu, the head coach of Inter Milan, confirmed that the race for the Italian league title is not decided yet, following the 2-0 victory over Genoa, marking the eighth consecutive win in the competition.
Chivu said: "We were well aware of the importance of this match for what we have accomplished and what we want to achieve in the final weeks of the season."
He added: "I will keep these three points because they were not easy; we faced a team in good shape that knows how to cause problems. This was our sixteenth match in about 50 days, so we had to keep going."
He continued: "Dimarco is in his best form and helps us achieve our ambitions, as do all the players."
Regarding preparations for the rest of the season: "We prepare for each match in the best possible way, both mentally and physically, and we approach every game in the same manner without considering the opponent's name; this is what we have been trying to do since the beginning of the season."
He emphasized: "There are 11 rounds and 33 points available, so the Scudetto is not decided yet. We have gone through ups and downs, but we want to build on all the good things we have shown in the past two and a half months."
He concluded his statements by confirming: "All the players work hard and have a winning mentality, never complain, and always accept the reality of the situation whether in the Italian league, the cup, or the Champions League. We want to be competitive; we have gone through ups and downs, but we have ambition and are in good shape."
