The management of Al-Ettifaq Club has completed the renewal of their Dutch star Georginio Wijnaldum's contract after receiving the green light from the Financial Sustainability Committee of the Saudi Roshn League.

Sources from "Al-Midan" revealed that the Sustainability Committee has officially approved the renewal procedures, extending the player's contract for an additional two seasons after agreeing on all contractual terms.

The move came after intensive internal negotiations, during which the management sought to retain one of the team's key players, given his influential role on the field.

Wijnaldum is considered a key player in the Ettifaq lineup, having delivered impressive performances since joining and contributed significantly with his extensive experience to support the midfield.

The administration's actions did not stop there, as they also succeeded in extending the contract of head coach Saad Al-Shehri for one more season, continuing the project of technical stability.

Al-Ettifaq currently holds an advanced position in the Saudi Roshn League standings with 38 points, amid aspirations to continue achieving positive results in the upcoming rounds.
