Rossinior: We Should Have Won the Match, and This is What I Need to Address
Saturday 21-02-2026
Chelsea coach Liam Rosenior appeared in a press statement following the 1-1 draw against Burnley in the 27th round of the English Premier League at Stamford Bridge.

The coach said in his statement: "We should have won the match. We needed to be more decisive. We lacked offensive effectiveness in the first half, and in the second half, we missed many opportunities without the decisive pass or the appropriate final touch."

Regarding the red card against Fofana: "I can only speak about my experience with the team so far. My disciplinary record has been good until today. This is something I need to address, but I believe it was an unfortunate red card. Nevertheless, we must maintain our lead until the end of the match."

He emphasized: "The best teams secure the match in their favor. The best teams are ruthless when they have the advantage. If you are not decisive, you must keep a clean sheet. We do not keep a clean sheet often enough."

He concluded: "We should not have lost the four points in the last two matches. We still need to win this match, and this is something I need to address quickly."
