One Million Pounds Fine: Walid Salah El-Din Warns Al-Ahly Players
The media personality Saif Zaher revealed that Walid Salah El-Din, the football director at Al Ahly Club, decided to impose a hefty financial penalty on the team players if they consider attending Ramadan tournaments.
Saif Zaher said on the "On Stadium" program on "On Sport" channel: "Walid Salah El-Din has imposed a very large fine on any player who even thinks about attending a tournament during Ramadan, or thinks about joking, or even goes to a stadium opening; they will see a fine of one million pounds as normal."
He added: "The decision came because any player could do something like that, which could cost their team a lot if they got injured or something."
Al Ahly currently occupies the second place in the league standings with 33 points.
