Inter Milan announced that their Argentine striker Lautaro Martinez suffered a muscle strain in the calf muscle of his left leg after getting injured during the UEFA Champions League match against Bodo/Glimt.

According to reports from Italy, this injury will keep him out of action for a period ranging from three to four weeks.

The club stated that his condition will be reassessed next week, while the newspaper 'La Gazzetta dello Sport' indicates the possibility of Lautaro's return before the Milan Derby scheduled for the weekend on March 8, after missing matches against Lecce and Genoa in Serie A, Bodo/Glimt in the Champions League, and Como in the Italian Cup.

Lautaro Martinez tops the team's scoring list this season with 18 goals and four assists in 35 matches across all competitions, making him one of the key pillars of the Inter team under the leadership of coach Christian Chivu.
