Arsenal Decides on Eze's Sale
Thursday 19-02-2026
Arsenal has decided on the future of its player Eberechi Eze, despite his declining stats this season, confirming there is no intention to sell him during the upcoming summer transfer window.

Arsenal signed Eze last summer for £67.5 million, snatching the deal from Tottenham. The player started strongly, assisting two goals in his first three Premier League matches, then scored a decisive goal against his former club Crystal Palace before netting a hat-trick in a 4-1 victory over Tottenham in the North London derby last November.

However, the player's performance has noticeably declined over the past three months, as he has neither scored nor assisted in the league. His ranking in coach Mikel Arteta's plans has dropped, and he was benched without participation in four consecutive matches at the beginning of the year, with his only starting appearance in the past two months being against Brentford, before being substituted at halftime.

Despite this, 'Football Insider' reported that Arsenal is not considering letting the player go, indicating that the club will not entertain the idea of allowing Eze to leave under any circumstances this summer. Arteta still has big plans for the playmaker at Emirates Stadium, and the player himself sees that he has an important role within the team.

The report added that the coaching staff trusts Eze's ability to regain his form, considering that the performance drop might be a natural result of the adjustment period with a new club, teammates, and different playing style.

Eze is expected to take on more responsibility next season, especially as at 27 years old, he is considered a signing aimed at strengthening the present rather than a long-term future project.
