The "TEAMtalk" website highlighted that the father of Argentine midfielder Alexis Mac Allister, a Liverpool star, commented on rumors linking his son to a shocking move to rival Manchester United next summer.

Mac Allister moved to Anfield in the summer of 2023 for £35 million from Brighton. Since then, he has scored 17 goals and provided 17 assists in 132 matches across all competitions. He played a significant role in Liverpool's Premier League title win last season after a five-year absence.

His father, Carlos Mac Allister, commented in an interview with "Win Win": "Alexis is only thinking about Liverpool at the moment. We are waiting for an offer to renew his contract; we will see what the club's plan is."

When asked about the possibility of moving to another league if the renewal offer was not satisfactory, he added: "We will wait and see what happens with the renewal, that's all."

The report indicated that Mac Allister's move to United would be a big surprise and could affect his reputation among Liverpool fans. It might also impact his professional career with expected changes at United following the arrival of a new coach to replace Michael Carrick.

The report also mentioned that Liverpool is looking to secure Mac Allister with a long-term contract alongside his midfield teammates Dominik Szoboszlai and Ryan Gravenberch. Meanwhile, Fabrizio Romano confirmed that he is not aware of anything concrete between United and Mac Allister, noting that United is targeting other midfield players like Elliot Anderson, Carlos Baleba, and Tonali.

Mac Allister's contract with Liverpool extends until June 2028, and he has received new terms following his outstanding performance. Meanwhile, Real Madrid is monitoring the player's future, as the royal club is interested in reuniting him with his former teammate, Alexander-Arnold.
