Manchester United Considers Keeping Carrick as Permanent Manager
Reports have revealed that Manchester United is considering keeping Michael Carrick as the permanent manager after he took on the role temporarily until the end of the current season, following the dismissal of Ruben Amorim a few weeks ago.
According to the British newspaper "The Telegraph," Manchester United's management intends to conduct a thorough search to select a new permanent manager, considering a wide list of candidates, with Carrick at the forefront. However, previous reports indicated that his strong start does not guarantee his continuation in the position.
Carrick led the team to four wins and one draw in the first five matches during his second stint as interim coach, contributing to placing the team in a position qualifying for participation in the Champions League next season.
The interim coach also succeeded in restoring the level of some players, including Benjamin Sesko, as the management seeks to bring technical stability back to the team.
The report emphasized that the club's management is keen to avoid rushing into a decision and is following a well-considered recruitment process before the start of the new season, with other names on the list of candidates, most notably Enzo Maresca, De Zerbi, Andoni Iraola, and Oliver Glasner.
