Sterling pointed out that his talks with the club's CEO Dennis te Kloese and coach Robin were crucial, expressing his confidence that Feyenoord is the place where he can be happy and establish himself as an important team member.

He also added that playing abroad represents a new challenge for him, but he is ready to face it with great enthusiasm.

The player had received similar short-term offers that were available, with one of the biggest clubs in Brazil showing interest in a similar contract. However, he preferred the Feyenoord option after evaluating all the offers.
