Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola appeared in a press conference following the 2-1 victory over Liverpool in the top match of the 25th round of the English Premier League, in the encounter that took place at Anfield.

The coach said, "The match was a great advertisement for the Premier League."

He added: "The first half was very good, but we lost some of the team's momentum in the second half, which is what happens at Anfield. After that, we played more directly, then lost the ball and were very passive. What a great goal from Szoboszlai! Then, led by our captain Bernardo, we got back into the game."

Sudded: "The morale was high, and overall the first half was very good. However, the second half saw some fatigue. Omar Marmoush and Erling Haaland were ineffective, which is why we struggled today."

About Bernardo Silva: "He is one of the best players I have ever coached. He is the perfect leader. It is a pleasure for me as a coach to have him with us. The team's interest comes first. His contribution is immense, and he is one of the legends of this club."

He concluded about the dramatic end of the match with the cancellation of Rayan Cherki's goal and a foul awarded to Haaland from outside the penalty area: "Come on, referee, count the goal and go home!"
