Bin Turki and Al-Muhaidib Move to Seize the Opportunity to Buy Al-Nassr Club
Prince Faisal bin Turki and Ibrahim Al-Muhaidib, the former presidents of Al-Nassr, are looking to take advantage of any potential announcement regarding the sale of Al-Nassr Club in the upcoming period.
The newspaper "Al-Riyadiyah" reported that Prince bin Turki and Al-Muhaidib, along with a group of Al-Nasr figures, are monitoring the steps of the Public Investment Fund in preparation for fully acquiring the club.
The report added that both parties are seriously considering the idea, with initial moves to form a victorious alliance capable of supporting the purchase of the club's company upon the official announcement.
The newspaper confirmed that Rakan Al-Qasimi, an honorary member of Al-Nassr, is coordinating with Bin Turki, Al-Muhaidib, and several supporters to gather as many investors as possible into a single alliance to acquire the club.
In June 2023, the Minister of Sports, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, announced the investment and privatization project for Saudi clubs, where the Public Investment Fund invested 75% in Al Hilal, Al Ahli, Al Ittihad, and Al Nassr.
This comes as Al-Nassr occupies the second place in the Saudi league standings with 46 points, just one point behind the leading Al-Hilal, which increases the importance of any future investment in the club.
