Imam Ashour's Agent Confirms Interest from French Club Lens
The media personality Ahmed Shobeir revealed that he contacted Adam Watani, the agent of Imam Ashour, the midfielder of Al Ahly club, by phone to inquire about the truth of European offers to sign the player, particularly from the French club Lens in the upcoming period.
Adam Watani explained, during statements reported by the program "Al-Nazir," that the French club Lens has shown interest in signing Emam Ashour, as they sent a request via email to Al Ahly Club. However, the latter has not yet responded to this letter.
The player's agent pointed out that what Lens club sent is not considered an official offer, but merely a financial inquiry to understand Al Ahly's terms to start negotiations, emphasizing that this procedure is followed by European clubs before submitting official offers.
National added that European clubs are not accustomed to responding to media reports about deals. He also explained that club presidents in France usually do not interfere in the executive aspects, as contract matters are entirely managed by sports directors.
It is noted that Imam Ashour is currently absent from participating with Al Ahly club for two weeks, following a penalty imposed on him for failing to travel with the team to Tanzania to face Young Africans in the African Champions League competition.
