Al Ahly club officials failed to reach an agreement with Hussein El Shahat, the first team football player, regarding the extension of his contract, which expires at the end of the current season, due to financial disputes that have stalled negotiations between the two parties.

According to the "Youm7" website, El-Shahat refused to renew his contract despite his desire to continue with the Red Castle, due to a disagreement over the annual salary. The player believes that the offer does not match his value and experience, and he seeks greater financial recognition from the club's management.

The report indicated that Walid Salah El-Din, the football director at Al-Ahly Club, confirmed that El-Shahat will remain with the team until the end of the current season, pending a final decision on his contract renewal, in an attempt to keep the player within the team's ranks during this period.

He explained that the ongoing disagreement over the financial compensation threatens Hussein El Shahat's stay with Al Ahly in the next season and opens the door for his free departure during the upcoming summer transfer window, which could represent a significant technical loss for the team if a solution satisfactory to both parties is not reached.
