Manchester United defender Harry Maguire appeared in a press statement following the 3-2 victory over Arsenal in the 23rd round of the Premier League at the Emirates Stadium.

The English defender said: "It was a very huge matter, facing Arsenal is always a special encounter, and sometimes extraordinary results occur, so we had to confirm that today. He continued: "We now have a wider squad, after the players returned from the Africa Cup of Nations, in addition to players like Matheus Cunha who came on as a substitute, and I'm sure he wasn't happy sitting on the bench in recent games. I know his personality, he always wants to play, but he made the difference in the two matches, he came on against Manchester City and changed the course of the game, and today he also made a difference for us. This shows the quality of the squad and the attacking options that can come off the bench and make an impact."

He elaborated on the secret to victory: "I think the first 20 minutes were in their favor, they pressed us hard and put us under great pressure, but we had watched their game against Liverpool, where they did the same in the first half. We regained control and began to be braver with the ball, started playing through the depth and passing between the lines, and succeeded in opening spaces. We were more comfortable in the second half. Their most dangerous weapon was set-pieces, and they scored a goal from a randomly deflected ball. But we have the quality to hurt teams, and we did that today."

He concluded about Manchester United fans, saying: "These fans deserve it. They have gone through tough years, and results like last week and this evening are what they truly deserve."
