Italian press reports have revealed that AC Milan was offered the opportunity to sign Romanian center-back Radu Dragusin, a Tottenham Hotspur player, during the current winter transfer window. However, coach Massimiliano Allegri prefers another option to strengthen the defense line.

According to the Italian website "Calciomercato," the Rossoneri management is looking for an experienced defender, preferably someone who has previously played in the Italian league, to strengthen the defense line that includes Matteo Gabbia, Fikayo Tomori, Pavlovic, and Koni De Winter.

The source clarified that the name Radu Drăgușin, who joined Tottenham from Genoa in January 2024 for 25 million euros, was brought up at AC Milan, especially given his struggle with limited appearances after recovering from an ACL injury, alongside interest from AS Roma in signing him.

The report indicated that Milan does not intend to move at the moment to sign the Romanian international, as there is a belief within the club in the development of Koni De Winter's level, who is considered a prominent option in the coaching staff's plans.

In the same context, the same source confirmed that Allegri has a particular admiration for Liverpool defender Joe Gomez, considering him a suitable option to strengthen the defense. It was also noted that Federico Gatti, the Juventus defender, remains a potential option of interest for Milan.
