De Rossi: I learn from Amorim and Modrić's mind never ages
Daniele De Rossi, the coach of Genoa, praised AC Milan's head coach Ruben Amorim following his team's 2-1 loss to the Rossoneri, expressing his admiration for the Portuguese coach's style and his way of dealing with players.
De Rossi said: "It's not for me to judge Amorim, he is younger than me but has much more experience, and I am learning from him. We study his teams and watch them, he uses a system that I really like and puts a lot of quality on the wings, which I have also tried to implement here according to our resources and capabilities."
The Genoa coach praised the character of Amorim: "I love the way he communicates; he never throws his players under the bus, even after a defeat, and he is always honest when he loses. He is doing an excellent job."
Daniele De Rossi has praised Croatian star Luka Modrić, saying: "For anyone who loves football, it's impactful to watch him paint football this way at the age of 41. Perhaps his legs move a little slower now, but his mind certainly does not." He concluded his remarks jokingly: "I told him that I no longer play, so I can't kick you!".
