Amorim after Milan win: Losing should be the end of the world for us
Rubén Amorim, the head coach of AC Milan, expressed pride in his players following the 2-1 victory over Genoa, stating that the competitive spirit was the most important factor in achieving the win.
Amorim said in statements to "DAZN": "I am proud of my players. The most important thing was to be able to compete, as I said before the match. If we approach every match this way, we will get one step closer to being able to win them all."
AC Milan's coach added that his team showed more than one face during the match, explaining: "There were moments when we played extremely well, and others when we changed our style and fought hard for second balls, playing a different kind of football. This is what great teams do; they play in different ways during the same match."
Amorim concluded his remarks by affirming AC Milan's ability to compete, but he pointed out the need for more consistency. He said: "We are capable of winning every match, but I cannot guarantee that we will develop this level of belief by the end of the season. I don't feel that we have that consistency yet, but the feeling I get when I watch this team is that we are capable of winning the next match."
With this victory, AC Milan has increased its tally to 24 points to occupy fourth place in the Serie A table, continuing its pursuit of the top positions.
