West Ham Rejects Flamengo's Offer for Paqueta
Saturday 24-01-2026
Press reports revealed that West Ham United rejected an official offer from Brazilian club Flamengo to sign midfielder Lucas Paquetá during the current winter transfer window.

According to "The Athletic" network, Flamengo made an offer worth 38 million euros, plus 4 million euros in incentives and variables. However, West Ham's management rejected the offer and insisted that any potential agreement include a clause allowing the player to remain with the English team on loan until the end of the season.

The network indicated that Flamengo has shown a strong desire to bring back the 28-year-old Brazilian player during the winter transfer window. However, West Ham is keen on keeping him as they strive to avoid relegation and are demanding 60 million euros to agree to his sale.

In the same context, Paquetá requested not to participate in the West Ham match against Queens Park Rangers in the third round of the FA Cup on January 11. He also missed the match against Tottenham Hotspur, which ended with his team's 2-1 victory on January 17, due to injury.

Nuno Santo, the West Ham coach, confirmed in a press statement that the Brazilian international will not participate in his team's upcoming home match against Sunderland on Saturday.

Lucas Paquetá has participated in 19 matches across various competitions this season, during which he scored five goals and provided one assist. His contract with West Ham runs until 2027.
