Rosenior: We Must Continue to Focus on Our Mission, and That's Why Palmer Wasn't Involved

Chelsea coach Liam Rosenior spoke to the press following the team's 1-0 victory over Pafos in the seventh round of the Champions League at Stamford Bridge.

The coach said in his speech: "I was extremely happy with Moises Caicedo scoring the goal and securing the victory we deserved. Moises is a special player, a world-class midfielder. We are always a threat in set pieces. He is an outstanding player."

He added, "When you play against a team that defends with a compact defense, the midfielders play in advanced positions. We hope he continues to score goals. Of course, we want to score more goals, but the truth is we are among the top eight teams."

He emphasized, "We must continue to focus on our mission, which is to win as many matches as possible. I can't influence how people evaluate me, but I am very excited about the future of this club. I hope the fans will be with us and with me, but to achieve that, I have to earn their trust."

Regarding the reason for Ballmer's absence: "It was a precautionary measure, as he felt something very minor during the Brentford match. I don't want to take any risks with any player at this stage, especially a player of Cole's quality. It's not related to his previous thigh injury."
