The Brazilian Lucas Paquetá has become a top priority for Flamengo during the current transfer window, as the player clearly wishes to leave West Ham United and return to Brazil, according to journalist Ekrem Konur.

According to reports, West Ham has reduced its financial demands for selling the midfielder to around 40 million euros. Meanwhile, Flamengo has made an official offer that includes a fixed 35 million euros plus 5 million euros in incentives and variables, in an attempt to close the deal.

On a personal level, Flamengo has reached a verbal agreement with Paquetá for a four-year contract with attractive financial terms. Sources indicate that the player is unhappy with his experience in England and prioritizes returning to the Brazilian league.

Nevertheless, West Ham has not yet given the green light, as they remain firm on their final evaluation of the player, rejecting the offers made so far.

Flamengo is expected to make a new offer this week in an attempt to finalize the deal, especially since Paquetá wants to leave during the current transfer window, which could accelerate the pace of negotiations.

In the event that negotiations falter, Flamengo plans to return with a new attempt in the middle of the year, with the player continuing to push for the completion of his transfer.
