Spanish club Barcelona is preparing to face Czech team Slavia Prague this evening, as part of the seventh round of the group stage in the UEFA Champions League. This match comes at a time when the Catalan team is seeking to strengthen its chances of direct qualification among the top eight teams to avoid playing the playoff round for the round of 16.

During the pre-match press conference, coach Hans Flick made statements addressing various aspects of the team's preparation and opponent analysis.

Flick said: "This is the Champions League, there is pressure in every match. Slavia defends very well and presses hard. They played their last match in mid-December and had plenty of time to prepare for today's game. We want to win both matches."

He continued: "We have a lot of potential and we have to work. We analyze every match and try to train on the areas that need improvement. We have a young team, and every player in it has great potential."

He added: "The good thing is that they will run and warm up. We decided that the weather is very cold and it was better to train this evening in Prague rather than in the morning in Barcelona. This way, we adapt to the conditions."

He went on: "This morning, Ter Stegen said he will leave for Girona. He is a great goalkeeper, it is the right decision and I wish him all the best. He is a wonderful person and an excellent goalkeeper. We will wish him success if he goes to Germany, and the same applies to Drou."

He added: "The matches in which Roni Badarji participated, his performance was very good. When he started, he showed good performance. It is not easy to get minutes with Lamine in this position, but he shows great level in training."

He continued: "I hope Rafinha is well for tomorrow’s match, and Pedri and De Jong are playing at a great level in midfield."

He explained: "I am disappointed with the result on Sunday at Anoeta, but we played at a very high level. We have to be more decisive in front of the goal."

He concluded: "The goal is always to win major titles, and the Champions League is a great title. We have confidence in our abilities and will work to deliver the best performance against Slavia."
