Barcelona plans two strategic sales this summer

FC Barcelona are preparing for a tough few months ahead, having focused on strengthening their squad last summer and taking advantage of the 1:1 rule. According to "Sport", the priority for next summer will be to generate revenue from player sales, especially as they prepare to move back to Montjuïc.

Ronald Araujo's transfer is at the forefront of strategic sales, with FC Barcelona potentially receiving €55 million if Liverpool activates the option to buy the Uruguayan defender. The club's management believes the chances of completing the deal are good, given the level of performance the player is showing and the financial resources available to the English club.

The second operation concerns Marc André ter Stegen, as FC Barcelona hopes to find a permanent transfer for him next summer, not only to benefit from the value of the deal but also to save a significant portion of the wage bill. The goalkeeper is a regular starter with Ajax and has returned to the German national team, which could increase his value.

FC Barcelona is also working to find a final destination for Marc Casado, alongside considering the departure of some defenders, including Alejandro Balde and Jules Koundé. The duo is viewed as assets that could generate significant financial returns for the club.

After the priority last summer was to strengthen the team, the goal for next summer will be to sell players who do not fit into future plans, generate revenue, and reduce the wage bill, in order to provide the possibility of making new additions to the team.
