Spain turn the tables on England to snatch thrilling win in UEFA Nations League

Spain secured a thrilling 3-2 victory against England at Wembley Stadium in the opening round of the UEFA Nations League.

Spain secured their first three points in the tournament after coming from behind against the hosts, while England started their campaign with no points.

The match started quickly, with Lamine Yamal giving Spain an early lead in the 2nd minute, capitalizing on a mistake from an English defender. Spain nearly doubled their advantage on several occasions, but Ferran Torres squandered two clear chances in front of goal during the 16th and 27th minutes.

England succeeded in coming back into the match in the 36th minute, as Anthony Gordon scored the equaliser with an assist from Jude Bellingham, before the hosts turned the score around by seeing Harry Kane net the second goal in the 40th minute, following a pass from O'Reilly.

In the second half, England had a valuable chance to extend their lead, but Harry Kane missed a penalty in the 54th minute, before Alex Baena managed to score the equalizer in the 60th minute. The Matador then pressed and Mikel Oyarzabal succeeded in scoring the third goal in the 74th minute.

Spain maintained their lead until the final whistle, exiting Wembley with a precious victory of 3-2 and collecting their first three points in the UEFA Nations League.
