Faisal Al-Ghamdi Approaches Return to Al-Ittihad Training
Al-Ittihad Club of Saudi Arabia is close to regaining the services of its player Faisal Al-Ghamdi, following positive progress in his treatment program and his nearing full recovery from the hamstring injury that recently sidelined him.
Faisal Al-Ghamdi has entered the final stage of his rehabilitation, continuing his individual training with the ball in preparation for his gradual return to group participation with the team in the upcoming period.
The Saudi sports newspaper mentioned that the player is steadily progressing towards full fitness, awaiting the final medical decision that will determine the official date of his return to matches.
Al-Ghamdi had suffered a hamstring injury during the match against Uzbekistan's Nasaf on December 23rd, as part of the AFC Champions League Elite competition.
In terms of preparations, Al-Ittihad players resumed their group training sessions today, Monday, in preparation for their upcoming match against Al-Qadsiah next Thursday, in the seventeenth round of the Roshn Saudi League.
This comes after Al-Ittihad's 1-0 loss to Al-Ettifaq in the previous round, leaving the team in sixth place in the Saudi Professional League standings with 27 points.
