Stanley said on beIN Sports after the match: "I would like to thank all the Nigerian people, and I also extend my thanks to all the fans who supported us."
He added: "I received the Man of the Match award because I helped my teammates achieve the victory, but the credit and praise go to all my teammates on the team."
He continued: "Our goal was to reach the final, but we seized the opportunity and succeeded in securing third place against Egypt."
He concluded: "We came to the tournament without being favorites to win, but achieving third place is a good outcome."
