Amr El Gazar approaches joining Egypt national team

Amr El Gazar, the defender of Al Ahly FC, has emerged as a top candidate from the local names to join the Pharaohs, according to media personality Saif Zahir regarding the players under close observation by Egypt's head coach, Hossam Hassan.

Zaher said on "On Sport" channel: "There are some players on captain Hossam Hassan's radar, Amr El Gazar, the Al Ahly FC defender, is one of them."

Media figure Saif Zahir added that the coaching staff is also monitoring a new goalkeeper in the Egyptian league; Captain Hossam Hassan is contemplating making changes to the Pharaohs' goalkeepers (the third and fourth positions) by calling up new faces that align with his upcoming tactical vision.

Egypt are set to face Angola in the first round of Africa Cup of Nations Qualification on Friday, September 25.
