Real Madrid Fans Demand Perez's Resignation
Santiago Bernabeu Stadium witnessed a tense atmosphere and widespread anger among the Royal team fans, as Real Madrid supporters raised their voices demanding the departure of club president Florentino Perez.
According to several press reports, Santiago Bernabeu fans chanted: "Florentino resign," during the ongoing match against Levante in the 20th round of the Spanish league.
Cameras captured Perez's smile during the chants of the Royal fans, as the club president was present in the main box to follow the match.
These protests come amid the difficult circumstances the team is going through this season, following a series of failures, the most prominent of which was the loss to Barcelona in the Spanish Super Cup, after which the administration decided to dismiss coach Xabi Alonso.
The situation did not improve much after that, as Real Madrid was eliminated from the King's Cup under the leadership of the new coach Alvaro Arbeloa, which increased the anger and dissatisfaction inside the stands and opened the door to criticism of the club’s management and its policies in the current phase.
