Al Hilal Officially Responds to Jesus' Statements and Intends to Escalate Legally
Al Hilal Club issued an official statement in response to remarks made by Portuguese coach Jorge Jesus, the head coach of Al Nassr, during the press conference ahead of their match against Al Shabab, part of the 16th round of the Saudi Pro League.
Al Hilal Club condemned the statements made by Jesus, describing them as irresponsible, after the Al Nassr coach suggested that his club lacks the "political power" that Al Hilal possesses, considering that this affects the referees' decisions and the pressure exerted by players on the field.
The statement affirmed that these remarks contain unacceptable slanders and do not align with the unprecedented sports renaissance that the Kingdom is experiencing, thanks to the great support from the wise leadership, which has made Saudi football a global destination for stars and fans, with competitive levels comparable to the major international leagues.
Al Hilal Club added that Jesus's statements contradict the principles of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA), foremost among them the principle of football neutrality, protecting its integrity, and maintaining fair competition. The club called on the relevant sports authorities to take the necessary measures and announced its intention to file an official complaint against the Portuguese coach for what it considered an offense against the Saudi sports project and Al Hilal Club.
