Trusted journalist David Ornstein revealed that Manchester City is putting the finishing touches to complete the deal to sign Crystal Palace defender, English international Marc Guehi.

According to details, the deal's value will be around £20 million plus financial incentives and a percentage of future resale, while the player is expected to sign a contract lasting five and a half years.

The English player will receive approximately £15 million annually with Manchester City, including bonuses, and he is expected to undergo a medical examination at City next Sunday.

Ornstein pointed out that City's management intensified its moves in recent days to finalize the deal, especially after developments related to the defensive duo Gvardiol and Ruben Dias, which prompted the club to strengthen the backline in the second half of the season.

Guehi is considered one of the top defenders in the English Premier League in recent seasons, noting that his contract with Crystal Palace expires at the end of the season, which made the English club agree to his departure this January for a suitable amount instead of losing him for free in the summer.
