Marwan Attia, the star of Al Ahly and the Egyptian national team, sent a message of support to his teammate Mohamed Hamdy after he underwent ACL surgery.
Atiya said on Instagram: "A thousand blessings upon you, my dear, and may you return as soon as possible, my brother."
Mohamed Hamdy suffered a cruciate ligament injury while playing for the Egyptian national team in the Round of 16 match against Benin in the Africa Cup of Nations.
The player underwent successful surgery yesterday, Thursday, in Germany.
