Real Madrid's interim coach Álvaro Arbeloa appeared at a press conference to discuss tomorrow's match against Albacete in the Round of 16 of the Copa del Rey, which will take place at the Carlos Belmonte Stadium.

Regarding the team's issues: "What I discussed with Xabi will remain between us. I am very excited for my first match; we are giving our all in the cup. I have an exceptional group, and I look forward to getting started. I have spent 20 years here, and I will stay as long as Real Madrid wants me to. This is my home, and that's how I feel."

He added, "I was informed yesterday that Xavi and the club reached an agreement and that they want me to take responsibility. Of course, I spoke with Alonso; everyone knows the friendship between us. I care for him a lot, and he feels the same, and it will always be that way. He wished me good luck, as I would have done for him. Our friendship is above everything. The future will treat him well, and we will always remain together."

I will be Arbeloa; I’m not afraid of failure, but if I tried to be Mourinho, I would fail miserably."

About the club's academy: "It is the best academy in the world. There are players who grew up there. Working with them over the past years has brought me here. They know they have a great opportunity ahead of them, and the first team coach knows them well. They understand the high demands of Real Madrid and know that I rely on them."
