Inter Milan Places Camavinga at the Top of Its Priorities

Inter Milan seeks to leverage its growing relationship with Real Madrid to make a new deal during the summer transfer period, after French midfielder Eduardo Camavinga emerged as one of coach Cristian Chivu's top targets to strengthen the team for the next season.

The 'Calciomercato' website indicated that Inter's visit, led by Beppe Marotta, to Santiago Bernabéu Stadium to attend the legends match between Real Madrid and Inter, at the invitation of the Spanish club's president Florentino Perez, may open the door to new cooperation between the two clubs in the transfer market, in addition to developments related to the Denzel Dumfries deal.

According to the same source, Inter is monitoring the situation of two Real Madrid players, Franco Mastantunono and Camavinga, but the coaching staff led by Chivu is more focused on the French international.

Mastantunono faces strong competition for positions after a first season in which he did not meet expectations at Santiago Bernabéu, while Real Madrid prefers to loan him with an option to buy rather than sell him outright, to preserve the possibility of benefiting from him in the future.

On the other hand, Chivu sees Camavinga as having the ideal specifications to strengthen Inter's midfield, and the player is also attracting interest from Juventus, which could increase the competition to sign him during the current transfer market.

The biggest obstacle for Inter remains financial, as 'Calciomercato' explained that Real Madrid is asking for no less than 50 million euros to part with Camavinga, an amount that currently exceeds the Italian club's ability to sign a new midfielder unless they first succeed in making some sales.
