A Spanish media report revealed the words of coach Xabi Alonso to Real Madrid's management before the official announcement yesterday of his departure, after 8 months of leading the team following Carlo Ancelotti.

According to the Spanish radio station "SER," Alonso told the club management: "You can't give the players all this power; it's impossible for the coach to have authority in the locker room if the club always sides with the players."

It seems that this issue posed a significant obstacle to his ability to enforce discipline and implement his technical vision within the team, emphasizing that the full support of the management for the coach in the locker room is essential for achieving success.

Alonso's role within the Real Madrid locker room declined following the substitution controversy involving Vinicius in the La Liga El Clásico against Barcelona last October, as the club did not offer full support to the coach at that time.

Real Madrid officially announced yesterday the termination of Alonso's contract, just 24 hours after the loss in the Spanish Super Cup final against Barcelona, in a swift and decisive decision by the club's management.
