European Duo Awaits Carrasco's Fate with Al-Shabab

Belgian Yannick Carrasco has strongly reestablished his name in the considerations of his former club Atlético Madrid, as the Spanish team’s need to strengthen its squad during the current winter transfer window intensifies.

The Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" revealed that Carrasco has shown a clear desire to return to European football, making him a potential option within Atlético's circles after being excluded from their plans for a comeback last summer.

The newspaper explained that Atlético Madrid's management might turn to the option of Carrasco if they decide not to pay a large sum of money to compensate for the departure of the Italian Giacomo Raspadori.

The interest in Carrasco is not limited to the Spanish league, as the Belgian player is also being closely followed by the clubs Nantes and Stade Rennais during the current winter transfer window.

Nantes is working on preparing a flexible financial package that includes additional incentives linked to avoiding relegation, aiming to reach an agreement that aligns with Carrasco's high salary.

On the other hand, Stade Rennais sees Carrasco as an ideal option to strengthen the front line, given his versatility in positions and his ability to provide diverse attacking solutions.

Karasco, 29 years old, joined the Saudi club Al-Shabab in 2023, coming from Atlético Madrid on a contract lasting until 2027.

The former Monaco player participated in 59 matches with Al Shabab across all competitions, during which he managed to score 20 goals and provide 14 assists, confirming his high technical value.
