Moatamed Gamal: My Focus is on the Match Against Al-Masry, and I am Waiting for the Return of the International Players
Moatamed Gamal, the interim head coach of Zamalek, spoke about the loss his team suffered against ZED in the Egypt Capital Cup.
ZED defeated Zamalek 1-0 in a match held this evening, Sunday, as part of the sixth round of the group stage of the Egypt Capital Cup.
In the press conference following the match, Moatamed Gamal said: "I do not want to unfairly judge any player who participated, especially the young players, given the many absences the team is suffering from, and I was keen to involve some of the key players to raise their physical fitness levels."
He added: "We made three forced substitutions due to injuries, and the team did not finish the attacks optimally, which prompted me to change the playing style."
He confirmed: "My full focus now is on the match against Al-Masry in the Confederation Cup, and I am waiting for the return of the international players to prepare the entire team. Omar Gaber’s injury disrupted the plans."
He continued: "I had no conditions when Zamalek officials asked me to take over the responsibility, and I am working to get the team out of its current technical crisis."
