The strong performance of the Moroccan national team against their Cameroonian counterparts in the quarterfinals of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations received widespread praise from the British media, which confirmed that the "Atlas Lions" clearly dominated and secured a well-deserved 2-0 victory.

In this context, the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) wrote that the Moroccan national team rightfully secured their spot in the semifinals, considering this match as Morocco's "true entry" into the atmosphere of the continental competition, following a strong performance both technically and physically.

For its part, The Guardian newspaper saw that the Moroccan national team presented the image of a champion team, noting that the enthusiastic atmosphere at Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium recalled Morocco's remarkable journey in the 2022 World Cup. The newspaper highlighted the tactical discipline and high pressing imposed by Walid Regragui's players from the very first minutes.

BBC highlighted the dominance of the Moroccan national team, which was reflected in the first goal scored by Brahim Diaz in the 26th minute, marking his fifth goal in the tournament. Ismail Saibari then added the second goal in the second half, with both goals coming after well-organized attacks executed with great precision.

The British channel pointed out that the Cameroon national team, five-time champions, failed to threaten the Moroccan goal due to Morocco's tight defensive organization and continuous pressure. It considered this superiority to reflect a shift in the balance of power in African football in favor of Morocco, the result of years of work in training, infrastructure, and technical guidance.

In turn, The Guardian emphasized the maturity shown by the Moroccan national team and its ability to combine offensive strength in the first half with effective management of the lead in the second half. It considered this victory to be different from the inconsistent performance at the start of the tournament and reaffirmed the team's character that stood out in the Qatar World Cup.

The newspaper also praised coach Walid Regragui's tactical choices, emphasizing that his team knew how to maintain their lead with calmness and discipline against an opponent known for their physical strength.

With this victory, the Moroccan national team extended its streak of positive results to 25 consecutive matches without defeat, securing its return to the Africa Cup of Nations semifinals for the first time since 2004.

BBC and The Guardian considered the Moroccan national team to be one of the top contenders for the title, as they are just two wins away from claiming their first continental championship since 1976. They are benefiting from strong fan support and an outstanding generation led by Achraf Hakimi, Brahim Diaz, and Ayoub El Kaabi.

The individual performances of Díaz, Noussair Mazraoui, and Abdel Samad Al-Zalzouli also received special attention from the British media, which highlighted that their brilliance came within the framework of organized team play.

BBC confirmed that the Moroccan national team was not subjected to any real threat, praising Mazraoui's role on the right side, where he combined defensive discipline, precise passing, and physical effort, contributing to maintaining the team's balance and disrupting Cameroon’s attempts.

On the offensive level, the British press continued to praise Brahim Díaz, considering him the technical leader of the national team due to his intelligent movement between the lines and his ability to make a difference in crucial moments.

As for Abdel Samad Al-Zalzouli, The Guardian described him as a "constant annoyance" to the Cameroon defense, highlighting his continuous movements and repeated breakthroughs, which unsettled the opponent and clearly contributed to Morocco's dominance throughout the match.
