Mohamed Salah: I Cannot Say We Are Favorites to Win the Title
Mohamed Salah, the star of Liverpool and the Egyptian national team, believes that the Pharaohs are not favorites to win the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations title.
The Egyptian team succeeded in qualifying for the semi-finals of the tournament after defeating Ivory Coast on Saturday evening in the quarter-finals with a score of 3-2.
Mohamed Salah said on beIN Sports channel: "I cannot say that we are favorites to win the title. The other three teams have players who play in Europe, while our players are local, and this is not to belittle them, but we will do our best to achieve the title for our country."
He added: "We were able to take advantage of all the opportunities against Ivory Coast, and we were not successful in set pieces, but we played a great match and won."
He emphasized: "The match against Senegal is very difficult; they have players who play at the highest levels in Europe, but we will give everything we have to achieve victory."
