Marseille Targets Haitham Hassan Signing
French media reports have revealed that Olympique de Marseille is keen on signing Haitham Hassan, the Real Oviedo player and Egyptian national team star, following his impressive performances with the Pharaohs at the 2026 World Cup.
French outlet "foot01" reports that Marseille is currently searching for a capable replacement for their player Mason Greenwood, following the completion of his transfer to Turkish club Fenerbahce for €40 million during the ongoing summer transfer window.
Reports indicate that Marseille is keeping a close eye on Egyptian winger Haitham Hassan to be the main replacement for Greenwood, taking advantage of his one year remaining on his contract with Real Oviedo until 2027, alongside the reduction of his release clause to £10 million following the Spanish team's relegation.
The network added that due to Celtic's insistence on signing Haitham Hassan, Marseille's efforts to acquire the Egyptian star will not be easy.
