Ajax Agrees with Milan on Loan of Maximilian Ibrahimović
Sunday 11-01-2026
Dutch club Ajax and Italian club Milan have reached an official agreement for the transfer of left winger Maximilian Ibrahimović to Ajax on a loan deal during the current transfer window.

According to trusted journalist Fabrizio Romano, the loan will last for six months, with Ajax holding the option to activate a purchase clause for 3.5 million euros at the end of the loan period. The agreement also includes a clause granting Milan a percentage of any future resale value.

Romano pointed out that the deal had a special character, as Zlatan Ibrahimović himself negotiated the deal without involving any agents or intermediaries. He was the one who came up with the idea of his son's move to Ajax and oversaw the details until its completion.

Romano added: “Maximilian Ibrahimović to Ajax, here we go!”, marking the return of Zlatan's son to his father's former club, coming from AC Milan in an initial loan deal with a purchase option, while Milan retains a clause to benefit from any future sale.

The deal represents an important step in the young Maximilian’s career, who is seeking more playing time and to develop his level at a club known for nurturing talents and giving opportunities to emerging players.
