Dembélé's Position on Paris Saint-Germain's Offer to Extend His Contract
Saturday 10-01-2026
According to press reports, French star Ousmane Dembélé is set to reject the initial offer made by Paris Saint-Germain to extend his contract, despite the club's desire to retain his services in the upcoming period.

According to the website "Foot Mercato," Paris Saint-Germain has already begun negotiations to extend Dembélé's contract, which is currently tied to the club until 2028, following the exceptional season he had, during which he won several prominent individual awards, the most notable being the Ballon d'Or.

The report explained that the offer presented by the club's management amounts to approximately 30 million euros annually. However, this figure does not meet the player's ambitions, as Dembélé is demanding a salary nearly double the offered amount, which has currently placed the negotiations far from reaching a final agreement.

The same source pointed out that Paris Saint-Germain adheres to a clear salary structure policy, which relies on a fixed cap and a large portion of incentives and variable components. This is the same policy that previously caused the renewal negotiations for Gianluigi Donnarumma's contract to stall.

Despite differing viewpoints, the extension of Dembélé's contract remains open, as the Parisian club is keen to avoid losing one of its key technical pillars, while the player insists on securing a contract that reflects his status and crucial role within the team.
