Trezeguet: The Ivory Coast Match is Like an Early Final
Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet, the star of the Egyptian national team, confirmed that the upcoming match against Ivory Coast will be tough and like an early final.
The Egyptian national team is preparing to face the Ivory Coast national team tomorrow, Saturday, at 9:00 PM Cairo time in the quarterfinals of the Africa Cup of Nations.
Trezeguet added in the pre-match press conference: "The match against Ivory Coast is like an early final. We know they have players competing at the highest levels and in the biggest clubs, but we are well prepared. We have a top-level defense, and our attack is also very strong. In every game, we create great chances."
He added: "I started working on my recovery from the injury after the Egypt-Benin match. I will be at the disposal of the coaching staff, and I have managed to come back from the injury."
Trezeguet had sustained an ankle injury during the match against Benin in the round of 16 of the tournament.
